Maintain appropriate heart rhythm tracing. Recognizes normal heart rhythm, artifact, and life threatening heart rhythms. Respond to all monitor alarms, report heart rhythm changes to RN or MD promptly. Clean, maintain, and inventory all equipment associated with cardiac monitors and other equipment as assigned. Precepts new employees, ability to educate other employees on correct usage of both telemetry and bedside monitors Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Licensure Requirement: (not specified) Certifications: Current CPR certification (BLS-Health Care Provider), required. Skills:
Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to identify abnormal rhythms and or changes in rhythms preferred
Experience: Previous health care experience as a Nursing Assistant, Unit Coordinator, Medical Assistant, nursing student, EMT, Medic or experience with cardiology patients, required.
