As a Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech you will performs clerical and receptionist duties and observes the cardiac monitors within a specific nursing unit. Transcribes physician orders and performs computer activities. Consistent with the Mission of MercyOne, Vision of Patient Care Services, evidence-based standards of care, and established policies and procedures. Schedule:
36 hours per week (0.9 FTE)
6:00am - 6:30pm
Every third weekend and holiday rotation

Serve as a mentor to students, new nursing assistants, peers, other colleagues, and staff.

Education:
Must be 17 years of age. May berequiredto be 18 years of agein some areas.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. All Certified Nursing Assistants are encouraged tobelong tothe National Nursing Aide Registry. In certainareas, participation in the registry is required.
Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training isrequiredwithin 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) will berequiredwithin30 daysof hire and every year thereafter.
