Clean, deliver, evaluate and inspect specified medical devices. Document work activity in an electronic database. Follow up and assist with administrative duties. Stock and take inventory of Respiratory Therapy equipment and supplies. Operate laboratory equipment within scope of role. Perform EKGs. Record vital signs including pulse oximetry spot checks. Assist Respiratory Therapists with relaying new or urgent orders. Comply with the medical center's attendance standards. Attend and achieve 100% attendance at all mandatory in-service programs, both departmental and hospital wide. Complete mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintain good standing in an approved Respiratory Therapy program with full completion in one year.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or equivalent with a strong background in Math and Science Enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program Maintain good standing in an approved Respiratory Therapy program with full completion in one year Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within new hire period
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Prior healthcare experience
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk long distances while pushing a cart of equipment/supplies. Must be able to lift equipment in excess of 35 lbs. Push/pull loaded carts of equipment in excess of 100 lbs. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
