What You'll Do
Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with the physician's plan of care and state practice guidelines Develop individualized treatment plans and establish functional goals to improve patient independence Communicate plans of care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members Teach new skills or retrain patients in activities of daily living impacted by illness or injury Fabricate splints and instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment to enhance function Train patients in the use of prosthetic and orthotic devices as appropriate Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including notes, reports, and updates to patient status Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician and care team Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Current registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and licensed in the state of practice At least two (2) years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist (preferred) Current CPR certification Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance
