The average patient volume in the ED is approximately 110 patients over a 24-hour period. Please note the following bid requirements:
Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per shift Overtime (OT) applies after 12 hours (OT approval required) An incentive of $25 per hour will be paid for confirmed night shifts. Day shifts will be paid at the standard contracted rates.
Requirements:
Must hold an ACTIVE California medical license Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/ABEOM certification preferred; ABIM/ABFM not accepted) Prior to confirmation, ensure your CV is up-to-date with all hospital affiliations and case logs, especially for surgical specialties. All gaps in clinical activity greater than 3 months must be explained. Include the number of current case logs if applicable.
Travel & Reimbursement Details:
Reimbursements applicable to airport parking, pre-approved rental car insurance, and transportation from destination airport to lodging, lodging to hospital, and return trip. Not reimbursed: mileage from home to departure airport, airport transfers via ride-share or taxi from home or airport.
