Call Schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM; in-house call response time within 20 minutes. Call Volume: Typically 2-4 calls per night with 1-2 expected onsite call-ins. Patient Load: Approximately 1-5 patients per shift. Call Responsibilities: Physicians are not required to remain on-site during night or weekend calls but must round and discharge patients accordingly. On-Call Requirements: Physicians should be onsite only for callback hours while providing direct care, averaging 2-4 hours per day. Documentation: Supporting notes must be documented on timesheets, including specific reasons for call-backs and descriptions that can be validated during audits. Telephone and record reviews are not considered onsite callback. Inpatient/Rounding: Conducted on new admissions and inpatients needing rounding. Additional Expectations: Managing common hospital procedures such as kidney stones, CBI consults, stent placements, hematuria management, and difficult catheter placements.
