Oncology RN Position at Termeer Center Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals to advance our mission. Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Fridays with one consistent day off. Ability to work remotely one day a week after a full year of working on site. The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years Oncology RN experience and a strong interest in Research Nursing. Seeking an experienced oncology RN for this 22-chair clinical trials research unit specializing in first-in-human, Phase 1 Clinical trials. Nurses are supported by a strong Resource Nurse team and a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Scientist and a Nurse Director. Patients in the Termeer Center are cared for by an expert team of research and infusion nurses. Patients are matched with a primary nurse team who get to know the patients and their family well. This nursing team establishes a trusting relationship and ushers patients through each visit with expert care, symptom management, education and advocacy. Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records. Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects. Record patients' medical information and vital signs. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
Qualifications Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Experience
Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment. Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided. Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information. Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
