Facilitating surgical procedures by organizing and preparing the operating room Maintaining sterile environments and ensuring strict adherence to infection control standards Handing over instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants efficiently Overseeing the preparation and functionality of surgical tools during the procedures Keeping track of supplies and ensuring readiness ahead of each surgery Working collaboratively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff for optimal patient care Keeping accurate surgical counts and meticulous documentation Education Requirements:
Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program High school diploma or an equivalent qualification Certifications Needed:
Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is required BLS certification (or capacity to obtain within 90 days of commencing employment) Key Skills and Attributes:
