Conduct various ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging Prioritize patient comfort and safety, explaining each step in a clear and compassionate manner Work collaboratively with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging Effectively operate and maintain imaging equipment, alerting for any malfunctions in a timely fashion Accurately document imaging procedures and ensure patient records are maintained within the electronic medical system Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound imaging practices Education Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field Culmination of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred Required Certifications
Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent is needed BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is also preferred Essential Skills
