Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages using standardized tests and observational strategies. Craft personalized treatment plans that tackle both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work jointly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans. Provide educational resources to patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in periodic inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process. Maintain accurate and timely documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay engaged with ongoing innovations in the field through professional development and peer interactions. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Skills
