Assess patients of all ages utilizing both standardized assessment tools and observational strategies. Design individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver focused therapies addressing communication skills, language acquisition, fluency, voice production, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to devise integrated care propositions. Educate patients and their families on how to support progress beyond the clinic environment. Occasionally provide inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout their recovery process. Keep precise documentation that meets all relevant regulations and standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a successful Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
