Conduct thorough assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized tests and observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and longer-term communication or swallowing aspirations. Deliver expert one-on-one therapy interventions focusing on communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of caregivers, which includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and medical personnel, to design integrated and effective care pathways. Equip families with knowledge and tools to enhance patient progress outside of the therapy session. Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a holistic approach to patient care during their journey. Adhere to the highest standards of documentation, aligning with both state and federal requirements. Stay at the forefront of best practices through ongoing education and peer collaboration. Qualifications
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved. Licenses & Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days after hiring. Essential Skills
A strong grasp of evidence-based treatment principles applicable to all age demographics, with a comprehensive understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exemplary communication abilities necessary to interact positively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues. A knack for tailoring therapy techniques to respect and respond to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Robust clinical judgment and analytical skills.
