Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages using evidence-based assessments and observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans that address both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Implement targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions focused on language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Work closely with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, physicians, nurses, families, and caregivers to design integrated care strategies. Deliver education to patients and families to facilitate improvements in communication and understanding beyond therapy. Support some inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuity of care within the treatment process. Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all relevant regulatory standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaborative practice. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) as per accreditation requirements if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills
