Job Responsibilities
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions concentrating on key areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive care plans. Provide education and support to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical encounters. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Maintain accurate documentation according to state, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay abreast of developments within the field through ongoing education and collaborative exchange with peers. Qualifications
A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Needed
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment. Essential Skills
