Description
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and careful observations. Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate needs and long-term goals regarding communication, cognition, and swallowing. Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions centered on language, communication skills, fluency, voice training, and swallowing difficulties. Join forces with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop well-rounded treatment strategies. Provide guidance to patients and families, ensuring they remain actively engaged in the therapeutic process beyond clinical visits. Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions occasionally, guaranteeing seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organization regulations. Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed about advancements in the field, engaging in peer discussions, and attending relevant educational events. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution. A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
