Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized testing and observational strategies. Create tailored treatment plans that tackle immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions that enhance communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions. Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to craft unified patient care strategies. Empower patients and their families with educational resources that foster progress in their daily lives. Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions when necessary, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Document patient progress promptly and accurately in accordance with state and federal regulations. Stay informed about new developments within the field through ongoing professional growth and networking with peers. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Licenses and Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment. Core Competencies
