Job #: 790143 Title: Safety Coordinator Location: Jindal Pipe in Baytown Tx. Salary Range: $15.00 (Unlimited OT) Position: Safety Coordinator Description: As a Safety Representative at Jindal Pipe, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors at the pipe yard facility. You will collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. **Responsibilities:** **Safety Compliance:** Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including OSHA standards, in the operation of the pipe yard. **Risk Assessment:** Identify potential safety hazards in the workplace and implement measures to mitigate risks. **Safety Inspections:** Conduct regular inspections of the pipe yard facility and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement. **Emergency Preparedness:** Maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios, including fire, chemical spills, and medical emergencies. **Safety Communication:** Facilitate regular safety meetings with employees to discuss safety issues, initiatives, and best practices. **Safety Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions taken. **Safety Culture Promotion:** Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization by recognizing and rewarding safe behaviors and fostering open communication about safety concerns. Requirements:
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA 10 preferred). - Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting. - Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including OSHA standards. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. -Bilingual is a Plus **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods. - Ability to lift and carry up to [50] pounds. - Ability to work in various weather conditions.
