Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable. Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities. Operates radiology equipment to perform clinical diagnostic radiology exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area. Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth. Follows established policies and procedures, objectives, safety standards, and sensitivity to confidential information. Willing and able to demonstrate appropriate core competencies annually or as requested. Performs all general radiography procedures associated with the department, including development of films and preparation of contrast media, as appropriate. Transports patients to and from department. Meets responsibility of on-call scheduling of department. Files and retrieves radiology files. Works with PAC's system. Completes quality assurance studies as directed. Completes all necessary documentation in patient and department files. Enters HIS/RIS/PAC's data into computer systems. Maintains current knowledge appropriate to tests.

What we're looking for:
Graduate of AMA approved school of radiological technology. Required: AART Registered or eligible. Primary Source Verification: American Registry for Radiologic Technologists. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
