Preparing and organizing the operating room in anticipation of surgical interventions Ensuring sterile environments and following stringent infection control practices Assisting surgeons and surgical assistants by handing over instruments and supplies Managing surgical instruments before, during, and after surgeries Keeping track of supplies and ensuring all are ready for each operation Collaborating effectively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical personnel to ensure seamless patient care Documenting surgical counts and maintaining precise records Education and Training Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory Required Certifications:
Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is essential BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of starting) Essential Skills and Traits:
