Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, articulating the process with sensitivity and clarity. Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, noting any technical issues promptly. Comprehensively document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical records system. Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound procedures and best practices. Education Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. Successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred. Certifications Required
Active certification as per the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred. Skills Needed
Exemplary technical skills in sonographic imaging methods and patient positioning. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
