High School Diploma or GED Active Paramedic license in the state of Nebraska Must have and maintain active membership on a Rescue Service in the state of Nebraska BLS(Basic Life Support) or BLS instructor certification through American Heart Association ACLS(Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or ACLS instructor certification through American Heart Association within 6 months of start date PALS (Pediatric Cardiac Life Support) or PALS instructor certification within 6 months of start date NRP(Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification within 6 months of hire Where You'll Work CHI Health Good Samaritan has provided paramedic-level emergency ambulance service to the City of Kearney and Buffalo County Fire District #1 since 1988. Our paramedics also provide mutual aid response to area ambulance and rescue squads in order to bring the emergency department closer to the patient. Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
