Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics, incorporating both standardized assessments and observational strategies. Craft tailored treatment plans to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to create comprehensive care plans. Provide education for patients and families aimed at reinforcing progress outside of therapy sessions. Execute inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments as required, ensuring seamless continuity of patient care. Maintain precise and prompt documentation that aligns with all state, federal, and organizational regulations. Remain informed about advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days after starting employment. Skills
