Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or long-standing health conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently, based on your credentialing Informing patients and their families on wellness, preventative measures, and chronic disease management Prescribing treatments and medications within the established guidelines Involved in patient follow-up and chronic disease management Working in conjunction with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care Maintaining accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Essential Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Credentials
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Virginia National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or the ability to secure within three months Qualities That Will Make You Stand Out
