FDA-oriented software engineering practicesThis internship is designed for candidates who want hands-on experience building real medical imaging systems in a fast-paced startup environment.ResponsibilitiesDepending on background and interests, interns may contribute to:
Medical image processing workflows
C# desktop application development (WPF/MVVM)
Python-based reconstruction pipelines
AI inference and data processing tools
Visualization and UI/UX features
System integration and testing
Automated testing and CI/CD infrastructure
Research prototypes and proof-of-concept tools
Lab setup and data acquisition support
Engineering documentation and design reviewsExamples of projects include:
Fluoroscopy image processing
3D reconstruction visualization
Logging and debugging infrastructure
Workflow automation tools
Geometry calibration tools
Image stitching prototypes
Performance optimization
Medical imaging data managementQualificationsPreferred qualifications:
Pursuing BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
Strong programming skills in at least one language:
C#
C++
Python
Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals
Strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable learning independently in a startup environmentBonus experience:
Medical imaging

CUDA / GPU programming
WPF or desktop UI development
OpenCV, PyTorch, ITK, or VTK
