Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training. At least 5 years of experience managing technical staff Familiarity with enterprise-class networking, including routing, firewalls, load balancers, and network security Willingness to accept after-hour pager responsibilities (on-call) that include weekdays/weekends/holidays Working knowledge of the operations of clinical imaging systems and the policies, processes, and practices involved with managing, storing, and transferring medical images – including DICOM and HL7. Extensive or advanced knowledge of the subject area sufficient for strategic planning, technology assessment and direction Experienced in leading change management activities and managing their impact across multiple units or departments Experience in the management of ongoing technology infrastructure acquisition and expansion, to include the identification and integration of suitable emerging technologies Thorough knowledge of Imaging IT technical concepts and basic operating principles of data communications, computer hardware, vendor IT products, and software. Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility, with knowledge of other areas of IT and managing a software support team. Has strong skills associated with managing the internal information systems functions, data communications network and campus, medical center or Office of the President security systems. Ability to understand the process involved to adapt, integrate, and modify existing programs or vendor-supplied products for use within a large and complex technical environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present technical topics to large groups with potentially varied levels of technical sophistication.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree preferred. Knowledge of new integration technologies such as HL7 FHIR and DICOMweb Certifications:
