Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or autonomously (based on your credentials) Providing education to patients and families on prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management Prescribing medications and treatments within your professional scope Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and seamless patient care Accurately documenting in electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Credentials
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Alabama National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or comparable specialty certification Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days) Skills That Make You Stand Out
