Über

UPS is looking for an Office Import Coordinator I to join their Brokerage team in Lachine, Quebec. This is a full-time, permanent role focused on processing customs clearances and declarations for repetitive and non‑complex shipments.

Job Summary

To process customs clearance (release) AND/OR confirm declarations for repetitive and non‑complex shipments guided by the CCBS system and personal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Process customs releases and confirm declarations using the CCBS system (creates or modifies line code/classification)
  • Perform data entry: open customers’ files, validate information, handle credit and invoicing
  • Collect supplementary information or documentation from customers, drivers, customs and other offices when required
  • Identify customer profile discrepancies
  • Answer standard questions and requests from customers, drivers, customs and other offices
  • Handle delivery service and/or import permit requests if required
  • Gather and send proper documentation to the government
  • Work as a team member with clients, UPS SCS employees, carriers, and inbound agents
Qualifications
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingualism required: French and English (written and spoken) – intermediate verbal and written communication skills in French
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments
  • Basic understanding of the HS (Harmonized System) classification system
  • Basic computer skills
Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, minimum 40 hours per week. Flexibility with start and finish time required.

Compensation

$18.47 per hour
