ST. MICHAELS HOUSE Senior Grade Psychologist Childrens Disability Network Team Full & Part Time Posts Available Permanent and Temporary St. Michaels House currently have an exciting opportunity for Senior Psychologists to join us in providing services to children with complex needs arising from a disability and their families. The Childrens Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) provide a quality evidence-based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family-centred practice. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to be involved in clinical audit and research, and the establishment of evidence informed pathways for service delivery. They may incorporate service development initiatives including complex behaviour support. Line Management will be by the Childrens Disability Network Manager with clinical supervision provided by the Principal Psychologist. Candidates must have the following essential requirements: Hold a recognised post-graduate professional qualification in Clinical, Educational or Counselling psychology that meets the requirements of the Psychological Society of Ireland and is validated by the Department of Health and Children. Applicants with qualifications obtained outside of Ireland must provide a certificate of validation of their qualification from the Department of Health. Experience supporting children/young persons with complex behavioural presentations across settings and in supporting others (family, educators) to meet the needs these children and young people. A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a disability or childrens service. Demonstrate and promote collaborate working relationships within interdisciplinary and multiagency teams in the delivery of integrated, family-centred services. Skills & experience in navigating systems and stakeholders (e.g., DES, Tulsa, HSE, CAMHS, CAMHS ID, acute hospitals). Desirable: Experience leading organisational or clinical development working groups or initiatives. Experience developing and delivering training/professional development relevant to supporting children/young people with complex needs. Experience in driving change in the delivery of services. Full clean driving licence with use of a car. Keen interest in research.
