Responsibilities
Analyze and report adverse trends to business leaders. Answer complex business problems through data analysis, combining insurance and data source knowledge to create data/statistical analyses that drive business insights. Identify requirements for data enhancements and lead special data and analytical projects. Develop, prepare, and complete pricing analyses, including rates and ultimate loss projections, and communicate results. Engage with business leaders to understand needs, anticipate opportunities, and provide analytical consultation and recommendations to executive leadership. Apply mathematical and statistical techniques to analyze profitability on a state basis, and recommend actions to improve product performance with Actuaries and Product Managers. Work closely with Product Managers to support the launch of new products, enhancements, and market entries, including post‑implementation analysis to achieve profit and growth targets. Participate in the development and update of actuarial models and databases through formula development, research on methodologies, and collaboration with technical teams. Education & Experience
Undergraduate or bachelor’s degree required. 5 years of experience working with Personal Homeowners Insurance required; 5+ years preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong analytical skills with experience in data and statistical analysis. Knowledge of actuarial and pricing models in the insurance industry. Ability to translate business needs into data solutions and communicate findings to senior stakeholders. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Python). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
