The Sr. Product Designer will collaborate and partner with Product and Engineering to identify a market opportunity, clearly define any foreseeable problems, plan for unforeseeable issues, develop and recommend a proper solution for the problem, and validate the solution with real users through various inputs. Partner with stakeholders to create long‑term strategies and North Star visions for our products. Design and prototype solutions for mobile, desktop, web applications, and other digital platforms. Develop and establish strong partner relationships across teams and disciplines to promote and lead collaboration and efficiency. Collaborate with product managers and engineers from discovery to delivery, prioritizing the end user’s product interaction and journey. Identify user needs, develop rapid prototypes, test ideas with design researchers, and refine designs with data and user feedback. Document and audit detailed interaction models and User Interface (UI) specifications to ensure accuracy and validity. Collaborate with other product designers to maintain consistency in the end‑user experience. Serve as the primary designer and subject matter expert (SME) for a significant body of capabilities within one of our product teams. Partner with Product Manager(s) and Technology Lead resources in product discovery, end‑to‑end design experiences across multiple channels, maintain consistency and User Experience (UX) standards, and support engineering on the execution of those experiences. Conduct design reviews to ensure alignment with key stakeholders; medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance; adhere to brand and accessibility standards. Build testing into a frequent cadence (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.) to validate and refine ideas as well as collect new insights. Participate in qualitative user research, craft journey maps, and employ qualitative and quantitative tools to monitor the product and make iterative improvements. Expand NextGen Healthcare’s design system with new components, micro‑interactions, and illustrations. Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position. Responsibilities

Lead design efforts for a significant body of capabilities within a product team. Support engineering in execution through alignment and compliance with brand, accessibility, and regulatory standards. Conduct design reviews with key stakeholders, including medical, legal, and compliance groups. Integrate frequent testing and iterative improvements. Participate in qualitative research, journey mapping, and data‑driven monitoring. Expand the company’s design system with new components, micro‑interactions, and illustrations. Education
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required qualifications. Experience
5+ years of experience designing digital products for enterprise or SaaS applications, with experience in Figma or similar design tools. Preference for experience designing complex, data‑driven systems in healthcare or regulated environments. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
User‑centered design methods, exploration, storytelling, and detailed interaction design. Product design best practices and Microsoft Office Suite. User research, UX writing, wireframing, and prototyping. Technical problem‑solving and collaboration skills, with intermediate to advanced interaction and visual design proficiency. Attention to detail, organization, communication, and time management. Adaptability in a fast‑paced, experiment‑rich environment and ability to accept feedback. Empathy for users and ability to iterate multiple design approaches. Leading and assisting with usability testing, creating detailed interaction behavior specifications. Workload prioritization, deadline management, and multitasking while maintaining quality.
