Quality Assurance Inspector

What You’ll Do As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, and Sales to ensure parts meet precise customer specifications. Your responsibilities will include: Acting as a liaison between production, customers, and sales regarding quality concerns Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical standards Selecting and testing products at different stages of production for dimensions, performance, and material characteristics Recording and evaluating test data using statistical quality control procedures Performing final inspections and generating detailed reports Making recommendations to improve quality or production standards Setting up and conducting destructive and nondestructive tests as needed Using a range of precision inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and more
Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED One or more years of experience in a related inspection, quality, or manufacturing role Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience: Experience working in environments certified to
ISO 9001 or AS9100
standards Knowledge and hands-on experience with
AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) reports Familiarity with
aerospace industry requirements and quality expectations Lead or supervisory experience
in a quality or manufacturing role Proficiency with
SPC tools/software Skilled use of inspection tools and equipment including:
Calipers, micrometers, durometers Optical comparators, CMMs Rockwell hardness testers, eddy current meters, surface plates, protractors, and height gauges
Ability to document inspection results clearly and prepare formal reports
