That’s why we are building an AI Language Tutor – an environment of interactive communication where you can speak and make mistakes without fear of judgment. A product that will learn together with the user: collect data about them, personalize the approach and motivate to new steps. We don’t believe in universal solutions, but we know that algorithms will help everyone learn in their own way – and finally effectively. We are building a startup in the Skelar venture builder ecosystem, where dozens of tech companies have already grown, entering the top of the AppStore, collecting millions of users and being written about by TechCrunch and Wired. Here there is everything to build quickly and efficiently: experience of founders who have already launched businesses, strong support from 10+ operational teams in the Platform and a community of people who are not interested in doing mediocre work. In the new business Bravel, we are looking for a Head of Engineering who will lead the product technical team. We are facing a complex backend-heavy architecture, so this is a position for someone ready to build technical infrastructure from scratch and lead the team to success. What awaits you: Architecture and technical strategy: make pragmatic decisions regarding the stack and architecture. Build so that the system withstands scaling, but without overengineering at the start;
Team and processes from scratch: find and hire strong engineers, set up the delivery process so that it accelerates development rather than breeding bureaucracy;
Delivery and code quality: every day find a healthy balance between the speed of hypothesis testing and the stability of the product. Implement adequate best practices so that the code does not turn into legacy in six months;
Technical partnership: be a sparring partner for founders – challenge product requirements, hint where you can “cut corners” for faster launch, and directly influence the direction of business movement;
Cross-functional work: work closely with design and product, synchronize teams and remove blockers on the way to a common goal.
What we expect from you: 5+ years of commercial development experience;
Practical experience with Node.js / NestJS, PostgreSQL, TypeORM.
Experience in managing technical teams (from 5 people), building and scaling processes;
Confident use of AI tools for development (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude Code or equivalents);
Product mindset and ownership attitude – you feel responsible for the result, not just for your part;
Proactivity: willingness to propose improvements, argue against current approaches and participate in the development of architecture;
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams;
Balance between delivery speed, code quality, and maintainability.
Plus: Experience in developing production-ready mobile applications;
Practical experience in publishing applications to the App Store and Google Play (working with certificates, code signatures, setting up release pipelines and understanding the review process);
Skills in frontend development: React, Redux Toolkit, TypeScript, Next.js.
