Sales Engineer
Responsible for selling complex technological products or services to businesses. The Sales Engineer will serve customers by identifying their needs; engineering adaptations of products, equipment and service. The territory for this position includes the Charlotte metro area and surrounding counties. Candidates must reside within this region to be considered. Key Responsibilities
Actively drives sales and business development
Formulates strategies to grow sales revenue, market share and customer satisfaction in assigned territory
Serves as a liaison and advocate between the customer and the organization
Prepares and delivers technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers
Confers with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
Collaborates with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
Secures and renews orders and arrange delivery
Plans and modifies products to meet customer needs
Helps clients solve problems with installed equipment
Recommends improved materials or machinery to customers, shows how changes will lower costs or increase production
Helps in researching and developing new products
Performs other related duties as assigned by management Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibility Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
Interpersonal savvy; able to collaborate and work closely with other departments and leadership
Excellent analytical, problem solving, process analysis, and improving business practice skills
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Strong presentation skills
Outstanding time-management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines
Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities
Self-motivated, resourceful and adaptable; able to work independently within team focused environment
Effective sales competency
Technical aptitude with air compression and rotating equipment preferred
Knowledge of technical products, rotating equipment, air compression products and their applications
Knowledge of industrial distribution models or multi step distribution preferred
Advocates a safety-first attitude in all aspects of position
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software; Salesforce experience preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. About FS-Compression
