Certified Nursing Assistant

Reliable Health Care Services is seeking caring and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support children and youth at Child Haven in Las Vegas. Child Haven is Clark County's emergency shelter, providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for infants, children, and teens.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct CNA-level care and supervision to infants, children, adolescents, and youth in a residential shelter setting
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, feeding support, and age-appropriate mobility assistance
  • Provide one-on-one support as assigned, including support for nonverbal clients, following established care plans and clinical guidance
  • Support individuals with personal hygiene and continence needs, including assistance with protective garments, changing soiled clothing, and linens when required, while maintaining dignity and privacy
  • Observe and communicate changes in behavior, mood, appetite, sleep patterns, skin integrity, or overall well-being to the appropriate staff
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment in accordance with infection control, safety, and child-protection protocols
Qualifications:
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Nevada
  • At least one year of CNA experience preferred; experience in pediatric care, behavioral health, residential treatment, shelter settings, or congregate care is strongly valued
  • Comfort working with children across a wide age range, including clients who may be nonverbal or require higher levels of personal care
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in emotionally complex situations
  • Successful completion of required drug and background screenings and clearances associated with working in a child welfare environment
