Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapy Assistant in Naples, FL working in an outpatient setting. You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Duties include implementing treatment goals and programs established by the Physical Therapist, assisting with therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening, endurance training, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training. Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices. Demonstrate and instruct on modalities including whirlpools, hot/cold packs, paraffin, TENS, therapeutic pool, ultrasound, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, and assistive devices. Monitor patient response and document progress and education. Maintain safe work practices, adhere to infection control procedures, and participate in team conferences and quality improvement projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Florida PTA license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience working in an outpatient physical therapy environment preferred.
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and assistive device training preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8.
- Outpatient setting; candidate may be expected to follow facility floating policies as needed.

Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to facility safety guidelines, safe patient handling, infection control, and proper equipment use. Establish and maintain professional and ethical working relationships with patients and interdisciplinary staff. Serve as a resource to other healthcare disciplines regarding therapy administered and projected treatment goals. Participate in projects aimed at improving quality and efficiency of patient care.
