divh2Job Responsibilities/h2pThe responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to the following:/pulliLocating patients, obtaining accurate vital signs by visual and auditory measures, triaging patients, assessing patients medical condition, and preparing patients for physicals and medical treatment by Physicians and Nurses;/liliUnderstanding and using the electronic medical record system;/liliOrdering lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed;/liliNotifying the Nurse and/or Physician when the patient is ready for exam while communicating symptoms and relaying questions about lab or x-ray needs;/liliAssisting Nurses and Physicians with various forms of patient treatment and care;/liliHandling Physician and Nurse requests with respect and in a timely manner;/liliPerforming lab duties as assigned;/liliPerforming phlebotomy procedures;/liliSterilizing and setting up instruments;/liliReceiving and storing supplies; restocking treatment rooms as needed;/liliReporting to the Charge Nurse before leaving at the end of the shift;/liliFollowing ancillary guidelines as deemed necessary by the Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, DMS, and Physician;/liliAdhering to established policies and procedures;/liliMaintaining cleanliness of the treatment area and completing biological cleanup in accordance with OSHA guidelines and other maintenance assignments as directed;/liliWashing, drying, folding, and restocking laundry; maintaining the cleanliness of the washing machine and dryer lint trap;/liliAttending staff meetings as scheduled by the Nurse Supervisor or DMS;/liliOperating, using, and maintaining medical and office equipment as trained;/liliCompleting assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks within the assigned shift;/liliBeing available to assist as needed, as breaks and mealtimes may be interrupted at any time to provide necessary patient care or to maintain center operations;/liliFostering teamwork and ensuring a positive and professional atmosphere;/liliProviding positive, warm, and friendly service in all interactions;/liliUnderstanding and performing all duties as assigned./li/ulh2Minimum Education and Professional Requirements/h2pMinimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:/pulliMust be 18 years of age or older;/liliMinimum typing experience;/liliHigh school graduate or equivalent;/liliMinimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physicians office preferred;/liliAbility to hear pages, bells, and phone system;/liliAbility to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4 to 7 hours at a time);/liliAbility to lift up to 50 pounds;/liliAbility to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills;/liliAbility to prioritize and multitask;/liliWillingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work./li/ul/div
