LUKES HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a NURSING ASSISTANT to join our 5W ORTHOPEDICS-GENERAL SURGERY team!/ppSalary Range: $18.00 - $26.12 Hourly Schedule/Hours: DAY/NIGHT ROTATION, 12 hours Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend FTE: PART TIME, 0.30 FTE/ppThe Nursing Assistant, under the direction of the RN, demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the Nursing Assistant role in the team delivery of patient care as defined by the MN Board of Nursing and reinforced in St. Lukes policies. Assists in providing activities of daily living and comfort measures according to a written plan of care for assigned patients. Assists with patient care activities/services of a technical nature, and assists with daily unit activities and order./ppMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/pulliEducation: For employees hired after 12/1/2017: Nursing Assistant on either the Minnesota Department of Health Nursing Assistant Registry or the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry at the time of hire (need not be renewed), OR be currently enrolled in an accredited Nursing program and have completed one semester of clinical rotations, OR see experience./liliExperience: Six (6) months of verifiable clinical experience./liliLicensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network./li/ulpPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/pulliEducation: N/A/liliExperience: N/A/liliLicensure/Certification/Registration: N/A/li/ulpKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES/ppKnowledge of basic mathematical computations; skill in taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, blood pressure and weight; legible printing and/or handwriting.
