High Country Home Care has been a source for quality in-home services in Newland and surrounding areas for over 30 years./ph3CNA Duties and Responsibilities:/h3ulliAssist in organizing household items/liliDemonstrate and assist with basic housekeeping tasks (sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, dishes)/liliCare for clothing (ironing, laundering, and simple mending)/liliProvide transportation for approved essential shopping/liliAssist or administer bed or tub bath, basin, shower or sitz/liliAssist with or dress client/liliAssist and/or perform hair care/liliAssist and/or perform skin care/liliAssist and/or perform nail care (toenails may not be trimmed if client has diabetes/peripheral vascular disease)/liliMouth care (including dentures)/liliMake an unoccupied or occupied bed/liliAssist with mobility with/without assistive devices/liliAssist with active range of motion exercises if prescribed by M.D./liliAssist with transfers with/without mechanical devices/liliAssist with planning and preparing proper food handling, food storage, and pest control/liliPrepare client for mealtime and assist with feeding/liliTake/record vital signs, temperature, height and weight/liliAssist client with bedpan and/or urinal/liliApply/remove prosthetic devices for stable client/liliApply Ace bandages, TEDs and binders/liliApply prescribed heat and cold/liliChange non-sterile dressings/liliRecognize and report indicators of abuse, neglect, illness etc. to proper professional/liliProvide basic first aide/liliRespond to emergency needs as they occur per company policy/li/ulh3Education:/h3ulliHigh School graduate or equivalent preferred./liliIndividual must have received appropriate training in a Board of Nursing approved program NA-1 aide training and competency program./liliIndividual must be listed with the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry./liliMinimum of 18 years of age for employment./li/ulh3Experience:/h3p0-6 months/ph3Job Types:/h3pFull Time, Part Time, PRN/ph3Benefits:/h3ulli401(k) with company match/liliFlexible schedule/liliPaid Time Off for Full Time/liliBereavement Pay/liliBonuses/liliDental and Vision Insurance/liliLife insurance/liliHoliday Pay/liliContinuing education assistance/li/ul/div
