DESCRIPTION Multiply is seeking a Junior Copywriter to join our beverage and consumer brands PR team. You’ll craft compelling copy across earned and owned channels—from press releases and social content to campaign messaging and brand storytelling. Working alongside our senior copywriters and creative teams, you’ll develop your voice while learning how to translate brand strategy and consumer insights into words that cut through the noise.
This is an ideal role for a sharp, ambitious writer who’s eager to grow in a fast-paced agency environment and contribute to work that helps brands earn attention the right way.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop copy for a variety of client deliverables including press releases, social media content, email campaigns, brand messaging, and earned media assets. Ensure all copy aligns with client brand tone, voice guidelines, and strategic positioning while maintaining grammatical excellence and strong storytelling.
Collaborate closely with Art Directors, designers, and account teams to ensure copy complements visual concepts and strengthens overall creative execution. Work within design constraints and platform specifications, adapting messaging for different channels and formats (Instagram captions, TikTok scripts, headlines, body copy, etc.)
Participate actively in brainstorms and creative ideation sessions, contributing original ideas and helping shape campaign concepts. Present copy concepts to team members and, with guidance, to clients, articulating the strategic thinking behind messaging choices.
Support account teams with daily content needs, including social media copy, caption writing, and reactive content opportunities. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality or brand consistency.
Research client brands, competitive landscapes, and consumer trends to inform messaging and storytelling. Stay current with beverage and CPG industry news, cultural moments, and social media trends that present opportunities for timely, relevant content.
Take direction efficiently, incorporating feedback and revisions while maintaining strategic intent. Learn and internalize client brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all written deliverables.
Proofread all copy developed by team members and assist Sr. Copywriter in maintaining quality standards across accounts. Flag potential brand or tone inconsistencies and suggest improvements.
Participate in new business pitches, contributing copy samples and helping showcase the agency’s writing capabilities to prospective clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
You’re a thinker, an idea person, creative to the bone.
Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degreein Communications, Advertising, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent professional writing experience)
1-2 years of copywriting, marketing, or communications experience in an agency, brand, or media environment
Your portfolio shows you’ve written for brands with creative zingers across multiple formats (social media, long-form, headlines, product copy, etc.) and ability to write in different brand voices
Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and AP Style; meticulous attention to detail with ability to catch errors in your own and others’ work
Understanding of social media platforms and how copy performs differently across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and other channels
Familiarity with beverage, food, CPG, or consumer lifestyle brands; genuine interest in these categories
Ability to take creative direction well, accept feedback constructively, and iterate quickly without losing confidence
Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly with designers, account managers, and creative leadership
Quick learner who can absorb brand guidelines and client specifications rapidly
Enthusiasm for pop culture, trends, and cultural moments that could inform brand storytelling
Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
