Old Town Inn has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, customer service-driven GENERAL MANAGER, with proven leadership skills. The General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the hotel and its staff and has accountability for planning, organizing and directing all hotel services, including front desk, housekeeping and maintenance.Old Town Inn is a small (73 rooms), independently- owned hotel located in the heart of San Diego. Our hotel has continuously been recognized for its excellent service and is one of San Diego's highly-rated hotels on TripAdvisor.Responsibilities include:Establishes and monitors standards for hotel including, but not limited to personnel administration and performance, customer service, sales, security, and quality assurance.Establishes and maintains effective revenue management techniques to maximize hotel revenues; Reviews and analyzes financial statements.Hires, trains, supervises, motivates and develops hotel staff.Responsible for hotel accounting functions including banking, payroll, monthly summary, direct bills and reviewing Daily Recap Journal.Responsible for sales, business development, and developing efficiencies and managing costs.Maintains visibility and accessibility to guests, staff and vendors; Maintains effective communication with all departments to ensure all areas of hotel are performing at established standards.Other duties as assigned.Requirements include:1. 2-5 years related experience in the hotel industry.2. Previous experience in a leadership or management role.3. Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Bilingual English/Spanish aplus.5. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis in customer service.6. Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changingpriorities.7. Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.WE OFFER AN EXCELLENT BENEFITS PACKAGE!
