Were seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Assistant to support our clinical team and enhance the patient experience./ph3Position Summary/h3pThe Medical Assistant (MA) is a key member of the clinical care team, providing high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of licensed providers and the office manager. The MA supports clinical operations in a team-based, integrative care environment, ensures efficient patient flow, maintains patient safety, and communicates effectively with patients and staff. All duties are performed in accordance with NYS guidelines./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3pClinical Patient Care/pulliPrepare exam rooms and equipment; maintain supplies, medications, and vaccines./liliGreet, identify, and escort patients; explain role and procedures./liliCollect and document patient data including vitals, medications, allergies, and chief complaints./liliPerform pre-visit planning and identify gaps in care./liliAssist providers with in-office procedures and diagnostic testing (e.g., EKGs, lab collection)./liliCollect, process, and document laboratory specimens; maintain quality control logs./liliMonitor EHR messages, health reminders, and diagnostic testing per provider direction./liliProvide age-appropriate patient education and coordinate referrals, procedures, and prior authorizations./liliUphold infection control, safety, and aseptic techniques at all times./li/ulpPractice Operations/pulliSupport efficient patient flow and clinical operations./liliMaintain equipment, exam rooms, and supply inventory./liliEnsure proper disposal of biohazard and infectious waste./liliParticipate in team huddles, staff meetings, and performance improvement initiatives./liliAssist with onboarding and orientation of new staff./liliPerform other duties as assigned./li/ulpPost-Visit Duties/pulliClean and reset exam rooms./liliPerform CLIA-waived lab testing per NYS and OSHA guidelines./liliAdhere to infection control, safety standards, and emergency procedures./li/ulh3Scope of Practice/h3pMedical Assistants may not diagnose, treat, triage, administer medications or injections, interpret test results, perform imaging, or assist in surgery, in accordance with NYS regulations./ph3Qualifications Skills/h3ulliCompletion of a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program./liliHigh School Diploma or GED required./liliCurrent BCLS certification (AHA, in-person only)./liliNational MA certification preferred./liliProficiency in phlebotomy, EHR systems, clinical procedures, and aseptic technique./liliStrong communication, organization, and multitasking skills./li/ulpPosted Salary Range USD $24.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr./ppBe part of something meaningful.
