Sales Assistant
The Sales Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Inside Sales team with various administrative and customer service tasks. This position involves maintaining customer login information, tracking invoices, providing order assistance, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and customers. Responsibilities
Assist the Inside Sales staff with filing needs. Maintain login information for customer's online systems. Track 'in-transit' invoices. Provide order assistance and expedite when necessary to support Inside Sales staff. Act as a backup for delivering parts quotes to customer inquiries. Open and distribute mail, maintain the postage machine, and add funds as needed. Provide phone coverage as required. Maintain the 'Welcome' area for guests and customers, including updating the lobby sign, maintaining company literature, and providing coffee and drinks. Arrange for lunches during client meetings, in-house training sessions, and company BBQs. Essential Skills
Superior organizational skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on superior customer service. Ability to relate to all levels of employees within the organization, as well as customers, vendors, and suppliers. Ability to see the 'big picture' within a growing organization while focusing on company expectations and continuously striving for improvement. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, namely Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strict adherence to corporate rules, policies, and regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree strongly preferred, with a business field background desired. Prior experience in industrial environments and situations is strongly desired. Proven ability to provide maximum operational efficiency. Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, focusing on supporting the Inside Sales team. The role requires proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and involves interacting with various stakeholders within the organization and with external partners. The dress code is business casual, and the position may involve arranging for client-related activities such as meetings and training sessions. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
