Revenue Accountant As a Revenue Accountant within Busireann, you will play a key role in the analysis, reporting and control of passenger revenue across the organisation, with a particular focus on Expresswayservices.Thispositionisresponsibleforensuringtheaccuracy,completenessand integrity of revenue reporting through detailed analysis of ticketing, fare and passenger data across multiple systems. Working closely with Finance and operational stakeholders, you will investigate revenue movements, identify variances and support revenue optimisation through insightful analysis of key performance metrics. The role requires a strong understanding of financial systems, particularly SAP and associated ticketing interfaces, along with the ability to interpret complex data sets and ensure accurate period reporting, forecasting and journal preparation in a fast-paced environment. Thisisa2yearcontractpositionandwillbebasedinBusireannsBroadstonehead office in Dublin. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: PrepareanddeliverperiodicroadpassengerrevenuereportsforExpresswayservices. AnalyseExpresswayrevenueperformanceindetail,includingbreakdownbytrip,kilometres, product type and ticket type. Analysecomplexrevenuedatatoidentify,explainandreportontrends,movementsand variances. Analysepassengeryieldswithafocusonmaximisingrevenueacrossexistingservicesand supporting optimisation of new services. EnsureaccurateinclusionandreconciliationofDSP-relatedrevenuewithineachreporting period. ManageandunderstandtheupliftprocessforDSPandnon-DSPticketpassengerdata, ensuring accuracy in reporting. Workcloselywithinternalstakeholdersduringticketclassification,fareorproductchangesto ensure financial accuracy is maintained. Prepareandpostallperiod-endrevenuejournalsinlinewithaccountingstandardsand reporting requirements. PerformSAP-basedperiodicreporting,includingextraction,validationandanalysisof revenue data. ProducerevenuereportingpacksforkeyinternalstakeholdersandFinancemanagement. SupportFinanceManagementwithrevenue-relatedbudgeting,forecastingandforward planning activities. Liaisewithinternalstakeholdersasrequired,includingsupportingmeetingpreparationand coordination. ProvideSAPdataanalysisandreportingsupportaspartofperiodiccyclesandadhoc requests. SupporttheFinanceBusinessOperationsClusterteamwithadhocanalysis,reportingand administrative duties as required. Ensure revenue processes maintain accuracy, completeness and compliance across all reporting periods. KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Professionalaccountingqualification(ACA,ACCA,CIMAorequivalent). Strongexperienceinrevenueaccounting,financialreportingorlarge-scaledataanalysis within a complex environment. Excellentanalyticalskillswiththeabilitytointerpretlargedatasetsandexplaintrends, movements and variances. Strongunderstandingofrevenuerecognitionprinciplesandfinancialcontrols. AdvancedSAPknowledge,particularlyinrelationtoreporting,journalsandfinancialsystem integration. HighlyproficientinMicrosoftExcelandconfidentworkingwithcomplexdatasetsand reporting models. Strongunderstandingofticketing,farestructuresandrevenuesystems(orabilitytoquickly develop this knowledge). Excellentcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytopresentfinancialinsightsclearlytonon-finance stakeholders. Strongproblem-solvinganddecision-makingabilitywithahighlevelofattentiontodetailand accuracy. Excellentorganisationalandplanningskillswiththeabilitytomeetstrictreportingdeadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
