About the Invest Team XY Investment Solutions, LLC is an SEC registered investment advisor offering a comprehensive platform for independent, fee-only financial advisors. We offer two services, XYPN Invest and XYPN Sapphire. XYPN Invest is the Tamp offering for advisors who keep their own state- or SEC-registered investment advisory practices and outsource the trading and back office operations. XYPN Sapphire offers a completely different model for members to operate their firms under, freeing them of compliance, investment, and other burdens of running their firms independently. We’re looking for someone eager to pull up their sleeves and jump on a rocket ship. About the Position We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Analyst to join our growing investment team. This hybrid role blends day-to-day trading execution, investment research, and strategic project work—ideal for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys analytical thinking, and is excited to contribute to improving investment processes. What You’ll Be Doing Trading Operations (40%) Execute all trade requests accurately and within established service level agreements Process trade instructions and system-recommended portfolio rebalances Review proposed trades for accuracy, submit to custodians, and monitor execution and allocations Confirm portfolio allocations and household setups are correct for both new and existing clients Respond to trading-related inquiries from the Service Team in a timely and professional manner Maintain detailed records of trading activity and processes using monday.com Investment Research & Analysis (40%) Support the portfolio management team with portfolio analyses and data requests Prepare investment research reports on specific asset classes and model holdings Assist in maintaining model materials, including the Model Due Diligence Kit and documentation Contribute to internal investment content and participate in the creation of firm-level research Strategic Projects & Automation (20%) Lead or contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives within the investment team Own the model due diligence process Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance trading workflows and operational efficiency Support the needs of the Investment Policy Committee with data and project work What You’ll Bring to the Table: (If you think, “I only meet 80% of these qualifications,” still apply!) 2+ years experience either: placing trades at a large custodian performing investment research, with an asset-class specific focus You hold Series 7 & 66, or Series 65 Solid understanding of portfolio management concepts and trading processes. You have a knack for noticing small discrepancies; you fill crucial information into forms (like account numbers!) with little to no error. You proofread your work before submitting it. Tech-savviness and the ability to pick up new technology Comfort navigating trading platforms and custodian interfaces. Experience with investment tools/systems and a process-improvement mindset. You can work under tight deadlines without even breaking a sweat as you flex your brag-worthy time management skills. Familiarity in self-directing your days—you can manage your projects and tasks, seek out support, and re-prioritize as needed. Authorized to work and live in the United States What Would Make Us Drool: Experience using Orion and their trading software, Eclipse. Experience working with Charles Schwab as a custodian.
