Poorboy Coffee is hiring an experienced barista to support our growing mobile coffee catering business. This is a part-time, contract-based role ideal for baristas who enjoy event work, variety, and earning more per hour than a traditional coffee shop. This position involves picking up equipment, driving to events, transporting and setting up coffee equipment, serving high-volume espresso drinks, and breaking down and cleaning equipment post-event. Scheduling is event-based and hours will vary week to week. Training is provided for coffee catering operations. Responsibilities Drive to and from events using: Use your own SUV (mileage reimbursed) Load, transport, and unload coffee catering equipment, including: Espresso machine, grinder, pump/accumulator, coffee cart, cups, and tools Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 70 lbs Set up coffee cart and properly plumb in espresso machine (training provided) Prepare and serve high-volume espresso beverages efficiently Deliver excellent customer service and represent the brand professionally Break down coffee cart and reload equipment after events Return equipment to commissary kitchen Wash, dry, organize, and properly store all equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service Requirements 1 year previous coffee shop barista experience required. Mobile coffee catering experience preferred. Comfortable making espresso drinks at high volume Valid driver’s license and own a vehicle to use for events Safe and reliable driving record Ability to lift up to 70 lbs Strong customer service and communication skills Organized, clean, and detail-oriented Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to varying schedules Schedule & Compensation Part-time, contract position Event-based scheduling (no guaranteed weekly hours) Flexible hours depending on bookings Higher hourly pay than a typical coffee shop Mileage reimbursement when using personal vehicle Benefits Competitive hourly pay Paid mileage reimbursement Hands-on training in coffee catering Work a variety of private and corporate events Opportunity to grow with a fast-expanding coffee brand Job Types:
