We are looking for a tax professional to help clients prepare and file their taxes. You’ll provide guidance on how businesses can minimize their tax liability now and how they can optimize their tax payment for the long term. Responsibilities
Advise the client on tax planning steps they can take to ensure they fulfill all tax obligations and continue to pay the minimum amount of taxes in the future
Honor client privacy by keeping confidential documents safe and organized
Communicate with tax authorities and submit the final tax return on the client’s behalf
Use all eligible tax benefits for the client
Go over the client’s financial records including income statements and previous tax returns to calculate the amount of taxable income they have
Qualifications
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Understands state and federal tax laws and can quickly interpret sections of the tax code for basic and atypical tax forms
Has used standard tax computing software to file returns
Must have a college degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
Familiar with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
Five years of experience working as a tax preparer
Compensation:
$50,000 - $65,000 yearly
