Über

Outside Sales Territory Manager This role is responsible for selling Smith-Blair’s products to distributors and end users within Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas.
Core Responsibilities
Develop new accounts and expand existing accounts within the distribution or retail sales channel.
Create awareness and demand for company products.
Have thorough knowledge of clamp and coupling products and their applications.
Plan sales efforts to cover the assigned geographic territory and penetrate available markets.
Manage sales efforts to improve profitability.
Direct sales efforts to have Smith-Blair product features specified by end-user customers.
Develop and manage territory sales AOP and expense AOP.
Solve sales and product problems/issues in the assigned territory.
Improve and maintain customer relationships with all major accounts and distributors within territory.
Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.
Perform other ad-hoc duties and analyses as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in sales.
Minimum 3+ years of outside sales experience.
Knowledge of hydraulic, water flow, water, and wastewater is a plus.
Proven presentation and communication skills, including face‑to‑face interaction.
Strong math skills.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office; Oracle based system experience desired.
Effective interpersonal skills with customers, employees, and management team.
Previous experience using Salesforce.com or other CRMs is required.
Ability to present product education seminars to groups of 20-40 people.
Must be authorized to operate a company vehicle.
Travel requirement at 60%.
Salary & Benefits Estimated salary range: $80,000 – $100,000 plus bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid vacation, and eleven paid holidays.
