POS Solutions Architect – Point of Sale Applications for Fuel Systems
Location
Remote / WFH + up to 10% Travel
Salary Range
$120,000 - $140,000 per year
Role Summary
Bright Minds is searching for an experienced Solutions Architect to shape future of Point of Sale systems for fuel pumps and gas stations. This role requires POS background and deep understanding of customized customer solutions. Strengths in retail, fuel, or convenience store systems, Cash Management, Promotions, Payments, APIs, SCO, SQL, and Loyalty are highly desired.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will act as the customer advocate after the software is sold, guiding the software delivery team by translating customer requirements into clear user stories and functional processes that will be built into their environment. You will also help lead Discovery workshops and functional training sessions, ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs. Previous experience driving presales efforts by preparing impactful demos, presentations, and POC executions is needed. You will work directly with customers to define and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and minimum viable products (MVPs), as well as manage system customizations and integrations while ensuring smooth communication between customers, development, and QA teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Must have experience in Fuel POS systems, retail processes, POS/Backoffice, and ERP solutions. Strong understanding of technical concepts (SQL, XML, Linux, etc.) and experience with system integrations and Master Data Mapping. Must have API experience, testing Rest APIs using Postman or other tools. Experience overseeing end-to-end solution delivery, from prioritizing work for sprints to validating the final product before handover. Background supporting customers throughout the Go-Live process, ensuring a seamless transition and providing training for Super Users. Excellent communication skills to act as the bridge between customers and development teams. Strengths in retail, fuel, or convenience store systems, Cash Management, Promotions, Payments, APIs, SCO, SQL, and Loyalty is highly desired.
