Senior Software Engineer – 3D Experiences CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP)
About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer on the 3D Experiences team at Matterport, a part of CoStar Group, you will be at the forefront of creating engaging user experiences around Matterport’s 3D model technology. You will research, develop, and implement new features for our model viewer and editing platforms, maintain existing features, influence code architecture, and impact how we build software together. You will collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, product, and design teams to translate ideas into tangible features. Your work will be seen by hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide and will be at the core of our customers’ day‑to‑day workflows.
This position can be located remotely across the continental United States.
Responsibilities
Implement new features for our 3D model viewer and editing tools utilizing Typescript, Three.js WebGL, and React.
Develop new ways for our customers to interact, augment, and enhance their Matterport models with data.
Work with a cross‑functional team of product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define project requirements, explore technical feasibility, and deliver high‑impact features.
Create working prototypes for new concepts, ideas, or platforms we want to explore.
Present concepts, progress, and delivered results to peers and stakeholders.
Advocate for new technical architecture and innovation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited, non‑profit, in‑person university or college.
5+ years of experience developing and maintaining user‑friendly, performant web applications.
Demonstrated proficiency working with Typescript, WebGL, and/or React.
Experience working on a team, supporting teammates through peer review, and releasing software in a team environment with multiple work streams.
Versed and capable of solving problems in 3D space.
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
8+ years of experience working with Typescript, WebGL, and React building performant web applications.
Strong proficiency working with Three.js.
Exposure to architectural patterns of large JavaScript applications.
Experience writing unit tests and mocking.
Experience shipping software in a large codebase to a large audience.
Experience working with Snowflake, Looker, and other advanced analytics tools.
Experience with mobile web‑based application development.
Experience with AR/VR application development.

This position offers an annual salary range from $124,000 - $210,000, determined by relevant skills and experience, in addition to a generous benefits plan.
