About the Role
We are expanding our footprint through strategic acquisitions. As the Accounting Manager – M&A, you will be the accounting lead for our buy‑and‑build strategy. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for the financial Day 1 readiness of new entities, ensuring seamless integration into our ERP, and maintaining GAAP compliance across a rapidly scaling multi‑entity environment.
Responsibilities
M&A Integration & Execution : Lead the finance integration playbook for acquisitions, including chart of accounts mapping, process alignment, internal controls integration, and support for tax/compliance needs.
Technical Accounting (ASC 805) : Record purchase accounting entries, including PPA/fair value adjustments, goodwill recognition, and intangible asset entries in coordination with valuation providers and advisors.
Consolidations & Reporting : Lead consolidation activities for a multi‑entity structure, including intercompany eliminations, roll‑forwards, and consolidated reporting.
Opening Balance Sheet Review : Drive balance sheet cleanup for acquired entities; partner with the M&A team to support working capital adjustments and post‑close true‑ups.
System Migration : Serve as the functional lead for migrating acquired companies from legacy systems into our ERP.
Controls & Scalability : Build scalable reconciliations, SOPs, and close checklists to support repeatable integrations.
Cross‑Functional Partnership : Partner with M&A team and business leaders to understand revenue streams, inventory valuation, and key operational drivers.
Qualifications
BA/BS or Master’s Degree in Accounting.
5+ years progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in multi‑entity consolidations and/or M&A integration.
Experience with ASC 805 purchase accounting.
CPA strongly preferred; active exam progress is acceptable.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, pivots; Power Query a plus).
Strong attention to detail and comfort operating in ambiguity—able to clean up data and build structure.
Preferred Skills
Big 4 or mid‑tier audit and/or transaction advisory experience.
Experience with accounting/ERP software such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, and Tipalti.
Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce is a plus.
Pay range and compensation package Competitive package: Strong compensation and benefits, with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the Continental US.
